1st day of school 2012

1st day of school

The girls start school today, 3rd and 6th grade.  They're in separate buildings, so they will only see each other on the bus.  Maybe after a summer of being together every minute, they'll enjoy it!
Both girls decided to wear dresses and leave their hair down and long.  We just pulled the front pieces back and braided them, them secured them in back.  Bella we put a zebra print bow in, 'cuz zebra is her favourite (her book bag is zebra print also).  Emily had enough length left in her braids for me to tie them into a cute bow, secured with bobby pins.  Both girls' hair falls to classic length.  That would be where the thigh meets the body for those who don't know.  So yes, they can sit on their hair and when sitting it pools around them.  They both want knee length hair...wonder who will get their first?

Bella starts 3rd grade today

 Bella starts 3rd grade today

She's wearing a cute ruffled dress in her favourite blue and pink with a little sweater to cover those spaghetti straps :)
My baby loves her cute dresses!

Bella wanted the front of her hair pulled back and braided with the back left long.  Then of course we had to add a zebra bow, Bella's favourite print!  Her hair also falls to classic length.  Her sweater is sitting at her waist in this pick, that's how far her hair falls :)

And just because.....her mani for the day, blue and pink to match her dress, with stars and hearts on her accent nails.

Emily's starting 6th grade today

Emily on her 1st day of 6th grade!
She's wearing a cute little dress with a houndstooth check skirt.

She wanted the front of her hair pulled back, so I braided that and tied it into a sweet hair bow.  The rest we left down and long.  Added a little oil and gel to coax some curls out.  It does fall to classic length!
And just because.....her mani for the day green and yellow, Coloma colours with a glitter french tip on the green nails and all over glitter on the yellow accent nails.

2 french braids into a bun

2 simple french braids coiled into a bun.  We used a shimmery purple butterfly slide from Beadmask to secure the braids.  Miss Bella has a walking field trip today and wanted the hair up out of her way since it's going to be in the 80's today!

2 into 1
french braids

2 French braids going into 1.  We put a cute sparkly bow at the top where there were a couple of "bubbles" when we pulled the 2 braids together.  This is what we get when she wants it braided but down.
